Never thought I'd end up here, in my mid 40's, working, but feeling lost and wondering, what am I doing with my life. I mean, I'm happily married, I love my home life, but what am I doing with my me life? I felt guilty for feeling down about my me life when the rest of everything else was so great. But, that's not what life is, it's about being your best self within the rest of the world you have chosen.
So, I put my thoughts and desires to work. It was June, 2015 and I was over it, over the monotony of work, over being a personal trainer, over waiting to be discovered by Hollywood. I needed something else, I was dying for something else. I told my husband that the universe would smile on me and that it would show me my next best thing and when it did, I would know it immediately. Then, BAM! on Aug. 10th, 2015 I got an email from a screenwriting website that said I should check out a coworking space in Brentwood. What's a coworking space, I thought. I googled coworking and much to my surprise, I found a plethora of info and I discovered a bunch of different coworking spaces all around LA, but there wasn't one in North Hollywood. I thought how awesome would it be to have a business where I could help others and still do all the other stuff that I love to do.
I called my husband and told him that the universe had delivered and I now knew what I wanted to do. I wanted to open the first coworking space in NOHO. He agreed and within a month I had secured the location and the financing and by November, 1st, we were open.
The day I received that email, I found my muse. I went from down and tired, to moving at a hundred miles per hour with all cylinders firing. Every part of the process of creating The Muse Rooms NOHO and The Muse Rooms Burbank has been exhilarating, fun and full of creativity. I roll from one idea to the next and am in constant flow and creation. And that is what we tried to create in our spaces. We want our membership to be inspired, to be bold and to find their muse in every corner if they need to.
